I wanted to contribute to Woman’s History Month and think Bodica is a great example. When Queen Boudica’s husband King Prasutagus of the British Celtic Iceni tribe died, he left his kingdom to his daughters and the Roman emperor. But his will was ignored and his property taken. Boudica then led an uprising against the Roman Empire about BCE 61. They were successful for a time, even capturing London, but eventually they lost against the huge Roman Empire. Boudica died before being captured.
